End of Summer Update!! Well another Summer almost gone and already we're being bombarded with back-to school specials.....To an extent the Summer of 2008 has been pretty much uneventful where all things FF have been concerned. We've spent the better part of 6 months mixing and refining what is to become the first 4 songs included on the follow-up to Undone.

BREAKING NEWS!!
We have been invited to participate during the Boston Music Festival where we'll be appearing at Church, September 9th @ 8pm.  Cover charge ranges from $7 - $10.00 and you must be 21+.  More festival info can be found at http://www.myspace.com/bmusicfestival.  Club info and directions can be found at http://www.churchofboston.com/club.php

We look forward to seeing everyone there!!!!

News, News, News

Well we've already begun the follow-up to Undone and as usual things are moving along at a snails pace. We've laid down 4 new tracks with the final mix on one already into the homestretch. We're thinking about an early '09 release but knowing us it just might be 2109 before it comes out. I've always believed that if we didn't have our own studio we'd release an album a year. Having the comfort of working at our own pace gives us the ability not to rush anything and we hope it shows.

We would like to extend a truly heartfelt thank you to AirPlay Direct CEO Robert Weingartz. A few months ago Andy, unbeknownst to the rest of us, entered FF into AirPlay Directs "All Things Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Artist Contest". It was only a week before the final winner was announced that Andy decided to inform the rest of us and even then, it was only because Robert personally contacted him. Without getting into specifics Robert has proven to be a man of his word and for that we bow in praise.

We've been fielding numerous inquiries from promoters/agents/managers about working with us recently yet no one has come to the table strong enough to earn our confidence. Simple things like advance notice and the ability to conduct business professionally is all we are asking for. If you think you fit the criteria feel free to contact us but please, have some experience and the contacts necessary to facilitate what we're looking for.

On March 21st 2008 the world of music and those of us in FF and all around the local area lost a tremendous musician and friend with the passing of former SteelHeart drummer John Fowler. John was one of those guys that could light up a room with his playing yet never carried the ego drummers of his caliber often do. I knew John over 20 years and can honestly say that he inspired me with not only his desire for his craft but with his ability to morph into whatever drummer was needed for the occasion. He is truly missed not only within the local music scene but more importantly within the LARGE circle of friends he kept and of course the family that loved him.

A trust has been set up for John's son Sebastian and I encourage everyone to contribute.

Happy Holidays All!!!

Well, we all made it thru another year! Much has transpired over 2007 and sadly, not all of it has been good. I’m not sure what it is with the year “7” be it 2007, 1997 or 1987 but as far back as I can remember year “7” has been the worst year of that particular decade. I can only remember one positive to ever come out of a “7” year and without getting into specifics we lost many friends this “7” year. Some useless some tragically, but all needless. May your souls rest in peace.

On a happier note: “Undone” hit the streets in ’07 to reviews and fanfare we really weren’t expecting. We felt confident we were putting out a quality representation of whom Fools Faith is, as opposed as to who Aftermath was, and without exception all the feedback we’ve gotten has been 100% positive. It is VERY gratifying that something we poured so much into has been received so well. Undone was over 2 years in the making and there certainly were times when we thought this album would never see the light of day. Thankfully we have a great support system in place that made finalizing everything a breeze.

While we were somewhat inactive in a live sense for most of ’07 the shows we did play were better than we could have asked for. It has become increasingly difficult for original bands to find a venue that understands and supports music from the heart rather than the radio. Our hats are off and we bow to clubs like the famous Toads Place in New Haven, Jimmy’s Seaside and Tiernans, both of Stamford, for giving us a local outlet for our music.

As you are already aware from our last News posting, we submitted for an audition for American Idols band competition, The Next Great American Band Competition, back in the summer and unfortunately, we were not one of the bands asked to compete. (Personally, I never believed music was a competition but….) In following the bands that were also submitting, mainly thru YouTube, we legitimately thought if only for a fleeting moment, we had a shot. In a twist of irony Andy commented long before the finalists were announced “they already know what they’re looking for and it ain’t us”. Man, he couldn’t have been more spot-on! Every band they picked is a marketing major’s wet dream. And considering that is what the music business is about these days it would seem they hit a home run but as usual, forfeited a ton of integrity for following the formula that has made the music industry what it is today. There were a lot of quality bands that didn’t make it on and it’s rather depressing to see how as a country we’ve lost our values in substance and prefer being force-fed crap and quick-hits. (See: 95% of popular music today)

Off the soapbox now….

We have been actively promoting Undone thru as many outlets as possible and will keep you posted as things progress. I also have to admit that despite my reservations in having a MySpace page it has been a great tool in promoting the album and the band as a whole. Almost to a point that I find myself spending more and more time using it in ways that thankfully has helped get who we are out there in ways I didn’t think possible. (I realize that’s the point of MySpace Music’s existence but obviously I was being stubborn in accepting that it wasn’t the evil demon I thought it was going to be) Thru contacts made there we’ve been featured in a number of on-line music magazines like HardrockHaven.com, and print magazines like Fireworks and Strutter as well as having tracks from Undone featured in regular rotation on on-line radio stations most notably World Rock Report XM on Live365.com. We are also going to be interviewed and featured on World Rock Reports web site as a featured artist in the coming days so keep an eye out for that.

I would be remiss in not mentioning that 2007 saw the first of many annual “FoolsFest” Labor Day Festivals. Because ’07 was such a dry year for us in terms of live performances that we, actually Joe, thought that if we couldn’t find somewhere to play that we’d created our own outlet and it went off without a hitch. The weather couldn’t have been better and we offer our many thanks to those of you in attendance and as usual, many more of you showed than expected. Thankfully the site was able to accommodate everyone and our hosts couldn’t have been more gracious. Maybe next year we can add another band or two to spice things up a bit. I think we’re a few years away from turning it into a traveling event but one never knows….

2008 holds promise for many things and one of those things could be the recording of a new album before the end of the year. Since the release of Undone we’ve already written 5 new songs and with the way things have been going another 5 or 6 shouldn’t be too far behind. The new songs are in certain ways miles apart from what we’ve done in the past and in all honesty a welcome breath of fresh air. With the integration of John fully into the songwriting process we have begun to sense what our true potential is and it has all of us totally stoked. Stay tuned!

We close out 2007 with nothing but the best wishes for you and yours and we continue to hold the belief that there are better things on the horizon for us all in 2008. So to all of you near and far, we wish you the very happiest of holidays and a prosperous and bountiful New Year.

Respectfully,
Marc, Andy, John & Joe
Fools Faith

Hard to believe it’s been 11 months since our last news posting yet here we are. Much to report on so let’s move forward.

As you are now aware and after much delay “Undone” has finally hit the streets and so far the reception has been more than we could have asked for. But I digress….

First of all, a HUGE thank you to Bill Engelhardt for designing the album artwork. It’s not often in this business that someone goes far beyond the call and asks for so little in return and Bill has done just that. His countless hours of work, where he had none to spare, have been more appreciated than we could say here. We also would be remiss in not mentioning Joe Lambert from Trutone Mastering in good ol’ N.Y.C for creating the sonic sensation that is the sound of Undone. His diligence in sticking with us until we were happy is much appreciated as well. Another set of thanks go out to Howie our Webmaster who can maintain a webpage like nobodys business!  We have been very fortunate in that those who have been our biggest supporters are those with so little time to spare and from the bottom of our hearts we thank you all!!

Unlike our last release, Natural Destruction, we had a hand in EVERYTHING relating to Undone. From recording to promotion we have carried it like a child. Joe and Andy spent countless hours pouring thru tracks with a dedication only Sam Breakstone could relate to. You cannot understand just how much goes into creating an album from start to finish until you have had to handle it on your own and believe me I hope it’s the last time we have to do it this way!

Speaking of the albums reception, here is the first public review of Undone: HardRockHaven.net

In early June Andy had caught wind that American Idol was holding an open call for the next “Great American Band” and the temptation was too overwhelming for us to not give it a go. So… we headed on down to S.I.R Studios in NYC and spent the better part of a Sunday shooting the submission video. (Many thanks to cameramen Chris & Shawn for devoting their free Sunday to help us out when we needed it the most) The rules are simple, you must submit a video of “live” music and of course some brief info on each member to no doubt determine “star quality”. We are hopeful we have accomplished that goal. For now you can check out the video on our MySpace page, as well as on YouTube here.

Updates to follow on the A.I. gig as they materialize.

On a personal note, In April a friend passed. He was not only a friend of close to 20 years but also one of the funniest people I have ever met.
My world seems to have a lot less laughter in it since he’s been gone
He leaves behind a wife and 3 daughters.

Greeting everyone! Much info to relay so let's get on with it. I have received numerous e-mails regarding the release of Undone and our gig schedule so I figured rather then replying to each of you personally I'd tackle them all in one shot. Since mid-year 2005 we've had Undone ready for press but because we decided to record a few new tunes that we felt were much stronger then some of the songs already included on the album. Because we constantly find ourselves upgrading our material as we continue to grow as a band and as songwriters we're always comparing what we've done prior to the present day. With that in mind, are we ever really happy? Well, that answer would of course be an emphatic NO! We are never happy. After recording the new material we found that the sound of the songs already included didn't match up sonically with the newer material so back to the mixing board we went. We have gone back and completely re-mixed the entire album because if we're not happy we know you won't be and hopefully you will feel the wait has been worth every second of delay. As of this writing we are about 2 songs away from completion so the wait will not be much longer. Because of our dedication to making Undone something we can all be happy with our playing schedule has suffered dramatically but that's about to change.

In our last News posting we mentioned that we would be playing BB Kings in NYC in June but unfortunately that show has been postponed to a later date yet to be confirmed. We apologize for any confusion and as soon as we know the rescheduled date we'll let you know.

A huge thank you to our friends from the band 10 Most Wanted for letting us share the bill for a suprise set at Tiernans Bar in Stamford CT on August 4th. While normally it's impossible for an "original" band to even find a stage these days, the guys in 10 Most Wanted were gracious enough to extend us the opportunity. The show was a rousing success and our sincere thanks to the guys and all of those in attendance who made us feel welcome.

Last but certainly not least, we would like to extend our sincerest congratulations and well wishes to our former guitarist and close friend Bill DiNapoli on his and his lovely brides nuptials. Bill and Cindy entered into marriage Saturday July 8th 2006 and we were proud to have been there to witness their happy event. It was a beautiful ceremony along with a reception that will stay with us for years to come. It was great seeing Bill again along with the youth hockey team he now coaches that has become so much a part of his life. Good luck to them all in Chicago this summer as they head off to represent Connecticut in the U.S. national youth hockey championships. To view pictures from the day click here.

Hello everyone! Summer is almost upon us and things couldn't be brighter in the Fools Faith camp, but first our apologies for the lack of news lately but we have been busier than expected with finishing up the new recordings and finalizing the artwork for Undone. As of this writing we're putting the final touches on the mixes for the new material and completing the graphics for Undone, as well as securing our new deal (More details on that later). Unfortunately we've had to switch graphic designers due to circumstances beyond our control. We have secured a new designer and it looks like the graphics may now very well exceed our expectations. Many thanks to Bill E. for jumping in and taking things farther than we could have ever hoped for. As soon as the graphics have been finalized we will be posting them here prior to the release of the album as well as a few clips of the new material for your listening pleasure.
We are also in the planning stages of securing some shows that very well may stretch from Maine, down the East Coast and into Pennsylvania, stay tuned for more info! Once again we have been invited to play B.B Kings in N.Y.C for another MTV event in June and as soon as we have a confirmed date we'll let you know. Lastly, over the next few weeks we will be updating our merchandise section so keep an eye out for the new designs as well as the debut of our new logo.

Happy New Year to all!
Well 2006 is finally here any we couldn't be more excited for what lies ahead.  We would like to take this time to give a HUGE middle finger up to Mother Nature for the wonderful weather she gave us on New Years Eve.  While Katie, Linda and everyone at The Crowe Bar did what they could to guarantee a successful NYE bash the weather just wasn't willing to cooperate.  The City of Stamford did a wonderful job getting the streets cleaned up for a safe trip home yet we only wished they could have gotten out earlier in the day.  We'd like to thank those of you who made the trip down and hoped you enjoyed the show and we promise to those of you that didn't that we'll be back sooner than later to make up the night.

We've begun receiving the graphics for Undone and they look killer! The back cover is complete and we're still tweaking the actual cover and inside liners.

Finally, all the basic tracks have been completed for the two new songs as well as the rerecording of one of the songs already included.  All that is left is for John to lay down his leads and we can begin the mix.  There is still a possibility that the two new songs will make it onto to the album or they may actually replace two others.  More to come, stay tuned!

December 13, 2005
What's up everyone?  There's much to report so without further ado...
Even though we were planning on doing some recording to finish out the year, an offer came our way we couldn't pass up so come on down and help us ring in the New Year at The Crowe Bar for their annual New Years Eve bash.  We recommend getting there as early as possible as The Crowe Bar will not be charging a cover and they have informed us that they are expecting a larger than normal turnout for that night.  Our last show there was a madhouse so we are expecting more of the same.  We will be starting at 10pm and will continue throughout the evening until they throw us the hell out of there.  Yesterday we re-recorded one of the tracks already included on Undone as well as two new songs that may or may not make it onto the album.  The drum tracks have been finished for all 3 and the following tracks should be completed shortly after the new year.  I've also spoken with our designer about the graphics for the album and should have the mock-ups in hand in the next few days.  It's been quite an interesting year in the Fools Faith camp and the expectations for 2006 couldn't be higher.  We'll have a new album to release, new promo pictures to take and we are planning more shows than ever.  Also, we are still receiving inquiries from labels as to our status and we've decided that regardless of what happens, we will still be releasing Undone on our own.  While, as stated in the past, some of the offers have been generous, they just haven't met our concerns with regards to doing as much for us as we can do for ourselves and while we are always open to listening to any offers sent our way, we just have a specific idea of how we want things to be handled.

As you may have noticed, FoolsFaith.com has taken on a new look and we couldn't be happier.  Howie has done a fantastic job and our hats are off to him!  We HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who needs a quality site done at a reasonable cost.  To contact Howie about doing your site, send him an email at webmaster@hhmedia.net

Lastly, everyone within the Fools Faith organization wants to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

See ya in '06 Joe, Andy, Marc and John

Dec 2, 2005
Hey All! Much to report so let's get right to it. First of all, a HUGE thanks to Vinny and the crew at the Felt Lounge for having us on opening night. Things went well albeit for a hitch here and there. It was one of those nights where when you thought it just couldn't get any better but I digress. The drive in from Jersey couldn't have gone any smoother considering it was one of the busiest nights for traveling of the year. If anything, we were wondering where everybody was as we made it into New Rochelle in record time. We pulled up to the club and we were granted every bands biggest wish, the absolute BEST place to park the van and unload. Now the Felt Lounge is located on the second floor and thankfully there was a freight elevator with access DIRECTLY across the sidewalk from where we were parked. Load in was running as smooth as we could ask for until...DISASTER! Upon putting in the last load for the trip up Joe hops on only moments later to find himself thrown headfirst to the sidewalk as the elevator continued upward. One of the drum cases flipped in transit, caught between the shaft and the elevator itself, shifted the entire load sideways and threw Joe out onto the sidewalk below. With a quarter-sized gash in his head it was time to get him to the hospital for a stitch or two but against our wishes he decided not to go and went inside to fix himself up. So, one busted head, one bent drumcase wheel and the night was on. All went well from there on and a HUGE thanks to everyone who made the trek down.

We've decided to do some recording for the rest of the year and have put off doing anymore shows until at least late January/early February. Some of the new material may show up on Undone as bonus tracks or may just replace a song or two. We'll keep you updated on that as it progresses. Last we've heard there's been progress made on the graphics for the album and we should have a finished product for review by the end of the year.

Also, watch for a new look for the website as I've spoken to Howie our Webmaster and he's assured me changes are coming and I have no doubt it'll look killer. Also keep and eye out for additions to the "Photos" section as there will be shots from the night at the Felt Lounge up shortly.

November 20, 2005
Hi folks, It's update time again! We recently had a chance to head on down to New Rochelle to check out the Felt Lounge and the place is smokin'! The stage is set, pool tables are in and it looks absolutely killer!! Vinny, Doug and the rest of the crew were still hard at work getting the place ready for the opening on the 23rd and it looks like they'll have it ready just in time. This place is amazing and it'll have everything necessary for a great night out. There are at least a dozen pool tables, dance floor, multiple screens for your sports viewing pleasure, DJ area and a V.I.P section that rivals some of the better clubs in NYC. All that seems left to do is run a few more wires, set-up the stage lights and then it's all systems go! For those of you unaware, the Felt Lounge is located directly across the street from what once was once the HOTTEST Rock & Metal clubs in all of New York, Streets. There is a large garage right across the street from the club so parking is NOT going to be a problem. We're scheduled to hit the stage at 10pm so you may want to get there early as they're expecting a HUGE crowd and even have a few “surprises” in store for those lucky enough to get in. We'll see you there!

We'll have some more news concerning future show dates as well as updates on the album release as soon as we can confirm everything. We've recently been discussing possibly re-recording one of the songs currently included on Undone as well adding a newer track or two. More info to come on that later as well.

October 26, 2005
Hey everyone, I know it's been a while since our last update but we've been super busy lately.  For starters, John has fully entrenched himself into the fold and things are moving along at quite a rapid pace.  Many props to him for all of his diligent work. We've already written 4 new songs and have a few more in the works.  Stay tuned...

We are very proud to announce that we have been asked to play the grand opening of what will become New York's hottest nightclub, The Felt Lounge in New Rochelle.  This place is amazing and has more to offer than most clubs could dream of.  There will be live bands, theme nights, a Disco night and that's not all, this place has an INDOOR POOL and as advertised, no swimsuit is required.

In speaking with Vincent the owner, there are even more things in the planning stage and this will not be one of those here today, gone tomorrow clubs.  The Grand Opening is going to be on THEE biggest party night of the year, November 23, Thanksgiving Eve.  Our tentative start time is 11pm but is subject to change.  When we are able to finalize everything we'll let you know.

Last but certainly not least...
It has become quite apparent to us that our best bet in getting "Undone" into your hands is going to be releasing it on our very own label, "SickDay Records".  After many months of communication between ourselves and labels from around the globe we feel that it would be best to handle everything in-house.  While some of the offers were respectable we've come to the conclusion that no one is going to handle us in the way that we feel is in our best interest.  We will be consulting with a graphic designer within the next few weeks on artwork and should have an idea on a release date by Christmas.  We are also in talks with our booking agent concerning upcoming shows and should have some dates advertised very soon.

Friday, September 2nd, 2005
Hello all

First off, a HUGE thanks to ALL who showed up at The Crowe Bar on Saturday.  Talk about a rousing success!!  From what we were told, it was one of, if not the largest crowds they've had to date.  A big thank you to Katie and the staff at The Crowe Bar for having us and extending mucho hospitality.  It was great seeing old friends and even greater making new ones.  Also, a great big thanks to those of you, and you know who you are, that had traveled a great distance to attend.  It's because of you that we are where we are today and it's not something we take lightly.

Saturday night was not only our return but also the welcoming of John Gallicano to the ranks.  Unfortunately Bill is no longer a part of Fools Faith and John stepped in and with only 2 rehearsals under his belt and pulled it off like a pro.  We expect even greater things to come and are glad to have John on board.

We plan on booking more shows within the Fall season and look forward to seeing you there. Keep an eye on the Show Dates section for further details.

Keep an eye on this site as we plan on making some changes.  If you have an idea or perhaps a suggestion that would help in the development of FoolsFaith.com feel free to e-mail the webmaster at: webmaster@hhmedia.net and let him know your ideas.

Also, the label search continues. We have received offers that may or may not work for us.  It's becoming more and more apparent that the only solution may be to release "Undone" under our own label imprint.  Nothing that has been offered to us is something we can't do for ourselves.  Considering our style isn't the "flavor of the day", labels aren't exactly handing us the key to the vault.

Fools Faith announces split with Guitarist Bill DiNapoli, recruits Connecticut session player John Gallicano as replacement.

After 10 years together and one critically acclaimed album Fools Faith Guitarist Bill DiNapoli has decided to call it quits.

"Bill had let us know that due to family and personal commitments, and his growing distain for the music business as a whole, he had lost the desire to continue playing music on the level necessary to commit to Fools Faith fulltime", stated Drummer Marc Chandler. Over the course of the last year his participation with the band waned and the only time we really saw him was when he was recording what would be his final studio tracks for our next album "Undone". There is no drama to report following his departure and we wish Bill nothing but good things and maybe we can get together on stage for a song or two down the road. His guitar playing played a huge roll in attracting attention across Europe for us and we will be forever grateful.

John has been a friend of the band for a number of years now and has even sat in for Bill on a couple of occasions. He brings so much to the table in terms of commitment, desire and ability that sometimes there's nothing more you can ask from someone. We realize he'll have huge shoes to fill but we're confident that he's up to the task.

Keep August 27th open on your calendars kiddies!
That's right Saturday, August 27th marks the official return of Fools Faith. It's been close to 2 years since we have played Stamford but that's one streak that's about to end. We will be appearing Saturday August 27th at The Crowe Bar in Stamford, CT and the show starts at 10pm. "Be sure to get there early" says Andy, "The last time we played in Stamford it was a mob scene and considering we've been away for 2 years it should be more of the same, it should be a cook ass night"..

Also, the video has arrived from the MTV/Viacom event at B.B. Kings and we should have a clip up shortly.

Lastly, a MAJOR announcement is coming in the next few days, stay tuned........

Press Release
Fools Faith announces split with Escape Music/Sony Entertainment

New Jersey based Melodic Hard Rockers Fools Faith have formally announced their split with premier U.K. label Escape Music.
Following the completion of recording for the second album Undone, Escape had decided that the newer material was not something they felt fit into their future, states drummer Marc Chandler, We fully enjoyed our association with Escape and are grateful for all their assistance in getting Fools Faith onto the musical map. We have now begun fielding offers from not only other European labels but from some U.S. based labels as well and we are extremely confident that this album will have a release date set before the end of 2005.

All interested parties can contact Fools Faith and sample the new material via their newly revamped website FoolsFaith.com or thru their management company, SickDay Entertainment (SickDayEnt@aol.com).

Tuesday, April 26, 2005
Fools Faith has just about finished recording it's sophomore release entitled "Undone". The new album has a completely fresh and distinct sound which is very different from the band's 2003 release "Natural Destruction". Some songs like the title cut "Undone", which discusses the possibilities of time travel in order to prevent some of histories greatest tragedies, are fast and pounding, while other stand out tracks such as "My Addiction" is mellow and lush. Click here to check out some of "Undone" in the download section.
